Abortion Pill (Medication Abortion) — Up to 9 Weeks

The abortion pill is a safe, FDA-approved option for ending an early pregnancy. At our clinic, medication abortion is provided under the direct supervision of our board-certified OB/GYN physicians. The fee for self-pay patients is $600, which includes two office visits, two sonograms, and around-the-clock staff availability. Most insurance plans, including Medicaid, cover the cost.

First Trimester Surgical Abortion — 5 to 12 Weeks

Our first trimester surgical abortion is a same-day procedure performed with anesthesia for your comfort. The procedure is typically completed within 2 to 4 hours. Our board-certified anesthesiologist ensures you are comfortable and pain-free throughout.

Second Trimester Surgical Abortion — Up to 21 Weeks

For patients further along in pregnancy, we offer same-day second trimester abortion services with full anesthesia. This is a service very few clinics in the Bronx provide. Many other clinics — including Planned Parenthood’s Bronx location — stop at 15 or 16 weeks and refer patients elsewhere. At Dr. Emily Women’s Health Center, we can care for you through 21 weeks, so you don’t have to travel to Manhattan or Brooklyn for later care.
