Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Bilingual Spanish-English Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team at Dr. Emily Women's Health. As a medical assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care by assisting the medical staff, performing administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting physicians and nurses in providing direct patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with procedures.
- Conducting patient interviews, recording medical history, and updating patient records accurately.
- Explaining procedures and treatments to patients and answering their questions.
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens as required.
- Performing basic lab tests and assisting with diagnostic tests.
- Administering medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and clinic areas.
- Assisting with scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and ensuring timely follow-up care.
- Collaborating with the administrative team to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Providing exceptional customer service and promoting a positive clinic experience for patients.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a medical assistant in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and professional demeanor.
